This image of the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array was taken in July of 2019 on my first long road trip through New Mexico and Colorado with a lifelong friend. Being a big fan of all things astronomy, it had been a dream of mine to visit and witness the beauty and magnitude of the Very Large Array. The sheer scope of this incredible scientific achievement leaves you speechless. As you can see it was a perfect day, full of dramatic high desert wind and puffy, stacked rows of clouds crowning the plains of Socorro and San Augustin. I am so happy to share this epic moment with you!
