Surcos, Baja California
$100.00 – $450.00
Limited Edition Fine Art Photography Print
Description
As a Chula Vista / San Diego native, I was lucky enough to seriously start exploring Baja at the same time I began immersing myself in black and white film, and have always been drawn to farm landscape photography on both sides of the border. This is another film image shot on my 1959 Nikon ‘F’ film camera using TRI-X 400 film. Surcos means “grooves” in Spanish, and I think that title is perfect, as he and I were both in, and creating our grooves. This roll of film was definitely underexposed and overdeveloped, drawing out more contrast and grain from the film stock, which should create an amazing fine art monochrome print on this archival paper.
- Monochrome image
- Printed on Hahnemuehle William Turner® archival fine art paper
- Acid-free, archival Snow White mat
- Italian Prime solid wood matte black frame

All framed artwork is displayed in shadow box frames for all print sizes. Shadow boxes present your print on top of the mat you choose, mounted on acid-free foamcore to slightly elevate it. This creates a subtle sense of depth, and a very dramatic, fine art presentation for the viewer. Each frame comes with pre-mounted hardware hooks, no tools required, so your artwork is wall-ready as soon as it reaches its destination.
