This is definitely one of my favorite stretches of highway landscape on my trips to Crestone——here encountering a fellow space traveler flying against the backdrop of the gloriously snowcapped Sangre de Cristo mountain range, in the northern part of the San Luis Valley. The dramatic shift in landscape you see here is truly made apparent once you ascend into the forested mountains above, and look back down across the expansive valley. The wide tonal range in this image, from pure blacks to snowcaps should look spectacular on this archival fine art paper.
