Rebuilt 26, Cumbres & Toltec Railroad, Chama, New Mexico
$100.00 – $450.00
Description
Home to the historic Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, Chama is located in the southern Rocky Mountains, just seven miles from the Colorado border, and definitely one of my favorite small towns in New Mexico. At only 2.6 miles in radius, you can easily pass by it on the way north to Pagosa Springs, yet Chama is full of unique charm for its size—especially when it comes to the scenic railroad. As in its companion color image, View from the Round House, Cumbres & Toltec Railyard, Chama, NM, This image was taken in early Spring, wandering around the rail yard during the off-season when many of the cars sit dormant on the tracks. As is probably obvious, I’m a sucker for deep focus and vanishing points, so shooting in a rail yard is a total joy, and also a rarity, as unlike Cumbres & Toltec, most places won’t allow it.
